#MS OFFICE 2010 REPAIR DRIVERS#
Others recomend Sysprep to uninstall all drivers from Windows on your hard disk. Http /I have used the above method several times. The main problem is the hard disk controller drivers cause a BSOD in Windows with the new motherboard unless there is a similar chipset on new motherboard or you follow process to uninstall all drivers from Programs & Features then remove old hard disk controller driver from registry before last shutdown in old PC. I haven't heard that moving a hard disk with Win 8 to a new motherboard is any easier than for Win 7 (you may be able to extend 30 days countdown by re arming Windows) However OEM Win 7 licence is tied to original motherboard and you have no rights to re activate on new motherboard Is your Win 8 a retail upgrade or OEM copy you purchased (in either case licence is transferable) Ideas? Help? Suggestions? Thanks in advance! Basically, all I want to do is get Microsoft Office back, then I will just upgrade to Windows 8 again. I know my time is limited, as I cannot reactivate my OEM license.
#MS OFFICE 2010 REPAIR INSTALL#
So, I was forced to install Windows 7 yet again, and that is where I am at now. I am thinking this means that the restore would only work if I still had that old AMD setup, instead of my new Intel one. However, after it restored and restarted, I couldn't boot to Windows, as it was giving me some error message about a hardware change. I previously made a backup of my system on an external hard drive using seagate discwizard, and I tried to use to the backup to restore Microsoft Office, which is the main thing I am worried about missing. I still have all my stuff on the 1TB HDD, but the SSD was of course wiped in the install. I have 2 drives, a 90gb SSD for the OS, and a 1TB HDD for everything else. So, after a bit, I decided to install my old copy of Windows 7 OEM, which I was originally using, and which I am running on right now. However, after the swap, I powered up my rig, and Windows would not boot! It kept saying it ran into a problem and had to restart, and now and then it would say it was trying to repair itself, which never worked. Before the hardware swap, I upgraded to Windows 8, because I was told that I could switch out my motherboard without having to reinstall the OS if I was on Windows 8.
I upgraded my motherboard and CPU yesterday from an AMD asrock 970 extreme3 & FX-4100 to an Intel asrock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer & Pentium G3258.
